Kawasaki have issued a recall in the UK covering the Ninja.  The recall affects bikes built between 1/12/2017 and 30/05/2018.

They have discovered improper welding of the spring mounting pin to the left side centre stand mounting bracket.  This may cause a failure allowing the centre stand spring to fall off.

Kawasaki are contacting affected owners and are offering to replace the left centre stand bracket free of charge.

This Kawasaki Ninja recall affects 378 bikes currently in use on UK roads, each with a VIN in the range JKBZXT02ABA000093 to JKBZXT02ABA002673.

If you believe that you may be affected but have not heard from Kawasaki, we would encourage you to contact your local dealer.  Kawasaki are tracking this recall under reference DAH76.
