Polaris have announced an Indian Motorcycle Recall affecting 219 bikes on UK roads.

This recall affects Indian – Chief Classic, Chief Darkhorse, Chief Vintage, Chieftain Chieftain Darkhorse, Roadmaster and Springfield manufactured between 29/06/13 & 29/06/16.

The recall has been issed due to insufficient clearance between the fuel rail and the engine which could result in abrasion of the fuel rail which could potentially cause a fuel leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may pose a fire hazard.

Polaris have decided to recall the bikes, Check the fuel line, and install a bracket and where necessary replace the fuel rail.

This recall affects bikes with VINs between 56KCCCAAOE3310503 and 56KTRAAAXG3341196.

Affected users are being contacted directly, however if you are concerned that you may be affected and have not heard anything, you are advised to contact your dealer.  This recall is being tracked under reference i-16-03.
