Piaggio Fly 125 Recall

A Piaggio Fly 125 recall has been issued affecting 580 scooters on UK roads. One or more of the front brake disc retaining screws may loosen. This may be identified by rattling and may affect the brake’s efficiency. In extreme instances the brake disc could detach.

Piaggio have agreed that on affected machines it will remove the brake disc and retaining screws. If necessary replace damaged components. In all cases they will apply thread lock to the disc retaining screws and tighten to the correct specification.

The affected VIN range is RP8M79100FV010688 to RP8M79100GV014164.  This is bikes manufactured between 12/01/2015 and 28/06/2016.

Piaggio are notifying affected vehicle owners, if you are concerned that you may be affected but have not heard anything, you are advised to contact your local Piaggio dealer.  Piaggio are tracking this recall under reference B0PV0117VN.
