The Inazuma 250 was hailed as a worthy workhorse, albeit with a price tag that many deemed to be on the high side for what it is. Still, it sold fairly well, with 1,110 of them now on the UK’s roads. The bad news is, Suzuki have had to issue just issued a inazuma 250 recall notice. It’s become apparent that water ingress may occur into the harness which can cause corrosion inside the brake light switch. Continued use in this condition can cause a short circuit to occur in the internal circuit of the brake switch. In the worst case the fuse could melt causing the brake and tail lamps not to activate.
Suzuki have agreed to recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the brake light switch. This recall affects all models from 25/08/2012 to 31/08/2016. For the avoidance of doubt, that covers VINS LC6DC111101100053 through to LC6DC112101100537.
The DVSA are notifying affected keepers, however, if you are concerned that you may be affected and have not yet heard anything, you are advised to contact your local Suzuki Dealer.
Please share this inazuma 250 Recall notice with anyone you know that may be affected.
